A new essential Townes Van Zandt collection featuring unreleased acoustic recordings from 46 years ago and two new songs never before heard ('All I Need' & 'Sky Blue').
The recordings come from the legendary early 1973 basement sessions with the late Bill Hedgepeth, a longtime Van Zandt friend and confidant. Sky Blue shows the artist working out some of his most iconic and new songs in an intimate comfortable setting.
The collection is being released on what would have beenTownes Van Zandt's 75th birthday. The album is packaged in a gatefold sleeve with liner notes from John Lomax III, Townes Van Zandt's former manager.
