In December 1974, more than 6000 fans gathered in the Reims Cathedral for the first live “pop” concert to be held in a European church. It sparked so much controversy that after this show the Vatican forbade any pop performance in a Catholic church. This legendary concert from the iconic Tangerine Dream line up has never been released before, but for RSD Drops it’s available on a double vinyl release (Set 1 and Set 2, each on one). The deluxe gatefold jacket features inner sleeves printed with interviews of attendees and press clips, and the package contains a 16-page booklet. The vinyl is printed with a reproduction of Reims’ stained glass, for a psychedelic/hypnotic effect.
