EMOH Exclusive 2LP (Autographed)
LP jackets are signed by Lou Barlow.
EMOH is Lou Barlow's first "solo" record. Fans of Folk Implosion, Sebadoh and Lou's solo work as Sentridoh will find a lot to like here. This is a lush, well produced affair with eight tracks recorded with producers like Mark Nevers, Josh Schwartz and Wally Gagel and six tracks impeccably recorded at home by Barlow himself. EMOH represents some of Barlow's strongest songwriting in years and will have long time fans and newcomers alike singing along. The lyrics here are sharp, funny and in one case, downright sacrilegious. Before Beck, Cat Power or even Pavement, Barlow was rocking the underground with Sebadoh, "the quintessential lo-fi band of the '90s."(All Music Guide) Leaving the lo-fi behind, Barlow takes his place as an indie rock elder statesman and a modern day folk singer with EMOH. Fans of the Postal Service, Smog or Elliott Smith should be well pleased with EMOH.
