One morning in 2017, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard announced that their new album Polygondwanaland was being released under public domain and people could release it themselves in whatever way they wanted. Needlejuice Records took this opportunity to make it the inaugural release for the label. It was an immediate success for them and all this time later, the label’s still chugging along, all because of the incredibly generous assistance of King Gizzard.
