Artist/Band Information

Better Luck Next Time (often shortened to BLNT) is an American pop punk band from Los Angeles, California. They are on the label World Records in the United States, InYa Face Records in Japan, and Enemy One Records in Brazil.

History

Formed in 2004, Better Luck Next Time has released two full-length albums. Their debut album Third Time's A Charm was engineered, recorded, and produced entirely by themselves in late 2005. It quickly caught the attention of InYa Face Records in Tokyo, Japan, who signed the band and released a self titled album in May 2006, which included the same tracks as their debut.

In September 2006, the band was chosen as one of 10 local bands given the chance play KROQ's Inland Invasion, if they could get enough votes from the stations listeners.http

In 2007 the band was invited to Japan to play the large festival, Punkspring 2007, along with 17 other bands including NOFX, New Found Glory, and Jimmy Eat World.http

Just months later, the follow-up to their debut, Start From Skratch, was released in Japan on August 25. Another Japanese tour with Mad Caddies was put together in support of the record covering such areas of Japan as Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya.http As with their first album, it was recorded and produced entirely by the band, and later taken to Scottsdale, Arizona where it was mixed by Ryan Greene at Crush Recording.

The band is now signed to World Records out of Los Angeles, California, who released their latest album in the United States called Start From Skratch. A split album with the Italian band Melody Fall called Hybrid has recently been released in Japan on InYa Face Records.

In 2009, Better Luck Next Time went back to playing as a four piece band and parted ways with Joseph. They have no plans of replacing the keyboards.

The band is currently in pre-production for their upcoming album due to release in 2009.
