Boston's Dear Leader continue the fight for common man with The Alarmist, an 11-track CD chockfull of working-class anthems that is sure to be an iPod staple for all mass transit commuters. The Alarmist picks up where All I Ever Wanted Was Tonight leaves off, with continuous nods to Buffalo, NY, political jabs at the establishment, and an overall sentiment that love eventually does conquer all. The Alarmist features the infectious tracks Nightmare Alleys, Bleed, Empty Chair and Radar previously found only as a digital release on iTunes. For the recording process of The Alarmist, the band stayed with the same studio and personnel as their last outing with producer Paul Q. Kolderie (Hole, Radiohead, Morphine) and engineer Adam Taylor at Camp Street Studio (Cambridge, MA), and mastered again by Jeff Lipton at Peerless (Newton, MA).
